Materiality

We chose materials for their tactility and aging process, not just appearance. Quarter-cut oak that ages gracefully. Handmade terracotta tiles from Knysna artisans. Scandinavian pine cladding that silvers with time. Each material echoes the textures of the land.

Palette

The surrounding environment led us. What began as obvious became living: greens, yellows, ambers shifting with the seasons. We maintained a neutral base—allowing the land to provide the colour—while adding texture where spaces called for it.
